Sucker brook trail head is closed off. There were signs/ropes up today. Trail access is closed via the overlook too. The five tree hill trail head was accessible and able to be hiked up to the overlook tho.

Not too heavily trafficked and a nice view at the top! I was able to do the whole thing in about an hour, so this is a safe bet if you’re looking for a quick hike that isn’t too steep or rocky.

Nice, short hike in the woods. shady until you get to the lookout. Some muddy spots, but by this point in the season (June), nothing impassable, plus boards have been installed to traverse muddier spots. Trail is very clearly marked and well maintained. Went on a Sunday around noon, and there were quite a few cars parked, but the trail wasn't overly crowded. Once at the top you can go down a 1.3-mile VAST trail that brings you to Sunset Hill road.

Nice trail but it is horribly marked!!!! Easy to get lost with so many side triads and poor signage. Arrows posted in different ways at some points. Also very buggy so bring bug spray! Beautiful woods though!

Easy hike. Very pretty. After overlook you can keep going for another mile or so. Went after 4pm on a colder day so not many people. Good for kids.

Perfect little afternoon hike. 30 up 30 down. A bit muddy in some spots and pretty buggy at the top but the view is worth it!

Don't understand why this is rated "moderate," except for the mud! Nice little trail with a pretty view at the top. Tends to be crowded with families.

Nice little trail close to town. Even with the constant hum of the highway, you can still catch quiet moments by a babbling brook and enjoy the beautiful view at the top!

Nice hike - definitely muddy this time of year. Prepare for there to be numerous groups of people at the overlook.

Lovely gentle climb up with a pretty view at top that you’ll likely be sharing with others. Took us a couple hours out and back, but we dawdled.

Well maintained trail. Great for families. We have three kids age 5-9. It’s not very hard (the five year old was first up and back) but enough of a challenge for everyone and includes all the authentic trail features (wooded groves, bridges, switchbacks, rooty rises and rock outcrops) to feel like a legit VT hike. Nice view at the top. Slight bummer that a private home abuts the lookout but I would guess during the growing season you could pretend it wasn’t even there.

I’ve hiked this a couple times and have had some great experiences doing so. I would rate it on the easy side of moderate. The view from the top is pretty cool, but you will most likely be sharing it with a bunch of people since the summit is shared by another trail as well. Watch out for it after it rains it can get super slippery. It’s not my favorite trail in the area, but it’s definitely worth checking out.
