The trail was well maintained. Steady climb but it levels off in a few places. The rocky section was near the top. The overlooks are a must and like others have said, the summit is just a sign where you can say I climbed to the summit.

Gorgeous view of the lake from the top!! This was steeper than expected, and a great workout! Took us exactly three hours round trip including a picnic lunch at the summit. Highly recommend this hike followed by a swim in the lake!

Awesome hike! Amazing views from the overlook spots. Nothing like it. One of the best hikes and views in VT. Don’t bother with the summit. Nothing there except and wooden marker.

This was a beautiful hike! As an avid hiker I would say that this is an advanced moderate hike with several steeper sections where you will need to climb rocks that are 1-1.5 feet tall. It was very easy to follow and I recommend stopping at each of the overlooks. Some of the overlooks seemed less traveled but they are definitely worth it. We did not have cell phone service with Verizon for most of this hike so I recommend downloading the map before driving to the location. Enjoy!

Such a great trail! first time on this one. There was a couple downed trees at the start, and was a little muddy but otherwise smooth hiking!

I felt this hike was rated correctly as moderate. There were a couple of small streams to hop across, but there were adequate rocks so I didn't get my feet wet. It was steep in parts, but not too strenuous. The lookout was great, the view of the lake was awesome! The summit was just okay, in my opinion.

Wow! Super dynamic and fun. Challenging for sure but worth it. Good conditions except a small ascent part.

Nice hike overall but it’s definitely muddy right now. When you hit the top it gets steep and rocky but there’s still ice/snow on the ground so it can be a little dicey. Views are beautiful, perfect hike for a sunny day.

One of my favorite hikes. I can’t tell you how many times I have completed it! The last 1/3 of the trail or so does get steep but near the top is a set of rock steps that definitely help!

Super beau sentier.

Hike was steeper than I expected but it was worth it, you are greeted with a few streams on the way up and rocks with marble and quartz. The Overlooks are phenomenal and the top is shortly after that. Definitely want to come back and camp to see sunrise/sunset

Great hike on a beautiful fall day. A good workout for about a mile or so to get to the two overlooks with stunning views. Small water crossings and fallen leaves on the ground made this a gorgeous journey. Easy to follow and well groomed trail. Another lovely Vermont hike!

Belle randonnée ! Indications claires, chemins propres et vue superbe au sommet! L’ascension se fait par paliers qui sont parfois assez escarpés et à piques.

took north trail to mount pisgah summit. no view at summit, other view points are small, but nice. trail is well maintained. next time we will do the south trail and pulpit rock. dog was with us, enjoyed the mud. some water for the pups at the start of the trailhead, but dwindles as you get to the top. nice area, love the lake.
