This was a pleasant surprise! A gentle 4 mile loop hike with informative historical placards. There are multiple highlights, but for us it was the enormous rock outcropping upon which a bridge once stood and led over to Fort Ticonderoga, directly across from you. Woods, meadows, manicured grass, tons of giant cedars, hardwoods, and nice gravel paths mixed with dirt paths. Easy going. GREAT place to pack a lunch and sit on the shores of Lake Champlain. Only negative would be no height - you are mostly at lake level or just above. Also, please be sure to check in and pay your 5$ admission to help maintain this treasure!

This was a fun, easy hike with some great views of lake Champlain. As others have noted, some parts of the Blue and Orange trails are muddy, so bring boots. The main loop trail, though, is crushed gravel and very easy to navigate. A nice way to spend the morning.

Recommended for all levels. Mix of crushed stone educational walkway and natural forest / woods trails. Afternoon on a Saturday approx 90 degrees. Very little traffic. A few very scenic lookout points with posted billboards / markers explaining the area’s history. Museum on premises. There is a $5 fee per person to hike the trail.

Nice and easy walk around the site. One manageable incline with great historic markings and information. Only complaint, ticks. Our dogs were covered. Check yourselves and your animals well!

We hike these trails often as we live nearby. Trails are well maintained, it's still very muddy on the trails closest to the lake. Beautiful views!

Trails are clearly marked. Some are handicap accessible. Gorgeous views at the Northern end. Blue trail is muddy for large stretches.

There are over six miles of trail at this historic site. The trails are well maintained and there are many interpretive signs along the trail. The hike is fairly flat, and there were many users on the trail on the Saturday we hiked. I rated this trail a five for it's historical significance and the quality of the trails.
