Did this hike a few years ago. It was pretty straightforward, with well marked Trail Markers. The view from the summit was amazing. My girlfriend and I started around 10am and ended somewhere around 6pm. Definitely pack some food (we had lunch at the summit). There is a scramble like portion near the top, so be prepared for that. I'd definitely do this trail again in a heartbeat.

Fun hike with lots of snow still at the top. Spikes or poles are definitely useful. Beautiful view!

This trail was a lovely day trip. Went as a family of 5, (11, 13 & 16), two hours up and a bit less down. We lucked out with weather, sun and a pleasant breeze. Always surprised at how windy summits can be, so bring good layers. Went to check out the plane wreck, was fun for my 11yr old son. The 360 view is worth the work!

nice trail. would rate it moderate rather than hard. gets steep at the end, but most of it is a nice walk in the woods

I really liked this hike. Lots of switchbacks in the beginning make it a pretty easy climb. After you get to the shelter, it’s time to climb up to the peak. It’s got some nice scrambling and the peak has great 360 views. Once known as Potato Hill.

Hiked on June 9,2019 with my dog in the early morning. I was all alone and it was peaceful. Ran into some muddy spots but expected as it’s been a wet spring. I will doing it again soon

Trail is in great shape, really good hike, worth it to go the short walk down the other side to see the plane crash. Saw a black bear near the bottom of the trail as well!

Great hike and great views. Trail was a good workout for the first 2 miles with lots switchbacks. There was a dusting to an inch of snow on the ground. Trail started getting steeper after the shelter. Lots of rock scrambling with icy areas near the summit. There was 3-4 inches of snow on top which made it look like a winter wonderland! Breathtaking!! The views were amazing!! Highly recommend this hike.

Pretty consistent climbing the entire time with some scrambling towards last half mile or so. View at top is an amazing 360! You can take the long trail path down to see the remnants of a plane crash, pretty cool.

Great day to hike and great views at top ! One of the three peaks in Vermont with Alpine vegetation zones. First two miles through woods so not a lot of views. After the shelter the views start as well as the pine scented air. Top has views from New Hampshire to New York and Lake Champlain up towards Burlington Vt
