Well maintained, pleasant walk, dog friendly. A few bugs but not bad with bug spray. Mostly shaded. Small parking lot so not too many people out. Port a potty’s at the parking lot.

This is such a fun lake! It is so big, the water is so clear, and the mild hiking is so gorgeous. I recommend bringing reef shoes, because when you swim in the lake it gets very rocky.

Really lovely easy hike! The trail is well marked and taken care of. There are many nice bridges and the muddy spots are pretty much dried up. Several pretty views of the lake. It was a windy day so the black flies were pretty much non existent.

A wonderful hike! We did it with a baby in a carrier, so it is not too difficult, though some parts were a bit muddy because it rained two days before. There were a few small streams we had to walk across (on rocks /logs), but again not too difficult or large. The hike is through the woods around a lake, so you get both a view/presence of the lake on parts of the hike and a lovely quiet forest walk. Only saw a few other groups .

Nice flat trail, a bit muddy this time of year but definitely manageable. There’s an abandoned summer camp along the trail with 10+ buildings that were a pleasant surprise

Very mellow but beautiful by the lake on a warm sunny day. A bit crowded for social distancing. Perfect for a trail run
