HikingMuddy

A very forgiving, wide and flat stretch of the LT. Rather than do this as an out and back, we tacked it onto the chittenden brook trail for a super good hike. The ascent would be easy- the descent was very gradual and enjoyable. Maybe even boring for those that prefer challenges. I would call this easy. Don’t miss the massive boulders strewn about up the mountain side, more visible when leaves are down.

HikingGreat!

Trail is well marked and not too steep or strewn with rocks or roots. However, there are no scenic overlooks so there is not much reward for your effort.

Nice day hike option from the campgrounds. The brook is lovely and the view at the overlook is stunning. We saw a peregrine falcon at the top
