Love this path ride, but a portion of it near Oakledge Park is washed out. There was a well labeled detour along Pine St.

PSA: Fantastic on foot or by bike but THE CAUSEWAY IS CLOSED until Sept 2020 for repairs as it states on the Colcheater Causeway website. Save this for another time as the causeway is the whole glory of this route.

The construction project pretty much messed up the entire experience as we spent most of our time on the street and not on a trail.

Really nice trail. A good part of it is gravel.

This one was lots of fun. It gets a little busier passing the city but then the herd thins out a bit. The bike ferry is the shortest boat ride ever but fun.

August 2019. Beautiful and scenic 20 mile bike ride along the Burlington bike trail from Local motion to the “Cut” on Colchester Causeway. Starts paved through Burlington, then about 2 blocks through residential streets, then enter the gravel pathway in Colchester, and lastly narrow gravel path through Lake Champlain (lots of washouts on this part, there were signs saying they were going to do repairs next year).

Great bike trail but, really, this is a nice place to take a stroll close to the city after having a meal with friends. It’s not a hike through nature, but more of a stroll in town beside the lake.

Easy bike ride. At times path is congested with people. Better views at the northern end of the trail. Not so in the beginning.

A must do if you’re in town. Go North to North Beach , Leddy Park and the Causeway trail { *through the lake } and South to Oakledge Park. Amazing lake views for much of this trail, and decent shade as well. Please obey the traffic rules and pay attention - it’s a fairly heavily travelled trail in season, in sections.

Many access points and great views along a lot of the way. Cremees(soft serve) at Burlington bay is a great way to end.

This is not to be missed! Lots of folks enjoying the trail today from toddlers on trikes to pooches on leashes, so be ready to share the road. Views are spectacular- especially the colchester causeway. Mostly flat, detour around miles 5-7 that puts you on a fairly quiet road with bike lanes. Some gravel and dirt areas. Stop by Charlie's boat house right before the bridge for a snack and a great time!

Not for the adrenaline junky like me but the views of the waterfront and the community of different people are amazing. (skaters, walkers, runners, bikers, etc).
