Icy slog up the jeep road to an impressive quarry desecrated with graffiti. Would not recommend—nicer hikes to quarries available

Easy trail, just beware that motorized vehicles can use it. Absolutely awesome quarry with lots of neat crevices to check out. So worth it!!!

Uphill walk, but it's not bad. Quarry is pretty cool, definitely a bit spooky though. Not quite the place to go if expecting a quiet hike though!

Nice low key gradual uphill hike with rewarding views at the end. 60-90 minutes up and back depending on how fast you’re going.

ok walk up a gravel hill. cave is covered with graffiti unfortunately. and 2 jeeps and a couple smelly and loud dirt bikes were part of the scenery.

You are not doing this hike for the “trail.” The hike to the quarry is up a rocky road. We visited on a Sunday and we saw maybe a dozen other hikers - mostly families. We were surprised to see several Jeeps, quads and dirtbikes pass us along the way and at the quarry. The noise and stink of exhaust spoiled the VT serenity. Maybe it’s less busy weekdays? The old quarry was very interesting. We spent a while there. There’s just a touch of spookiness in the echoey darkness to make exploring a bit more of an adventure for the kids.

gradual incline pretty much the entire way up. great views in old quarry. just passed the quarry is a little look out. would recommend this short hike to anyone looking for something cool to do. will be researching more on the history of the quarry. will be visiting again in the near future.

Good basic trail. Very rocky and buggy, but it’s Vermont in the summer and a former quarry, so that’s about what I expected.

Nice fairly easy but rocky trail. There is evidence that homeless sometimes hang out here.

The ascent is pretty boring. You walk up a wide road and then it opens up at the entrance of the old quarries. The best part is exploring the quarry by climbing on the rocks and looking at the artwork. It was worth the not so exciting walk.

It was a 4x4 trail, not necessarily a great hiking trail. The quarry was awesome and there was a nice view. Weird fog coming from the first entrance of the quarry though?
