Emerald Lake is a 2.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near North Dorset, Vermont that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Pretty easy trail. Nice lake with very clean and clear water. Very peaceful!

Very serene area. I walked to the beginning of the loop and back, since a microburst storm fell upon me, but nonetheless a beautiful trail with lots of lichen and mushrooms to discover. Looks like a perfect kayaking spot too, if you want to spend the money to rent one of theirs. (It would be difficult to lug yours down to the put-in area.)
