Beautiful view from the top!! Definitely a steady incline the whole way up. Went in July. Lots of bugs, wear bug spray! Worth hike up though

We loved this hike and our dog did too! Pretty steep going up at times but also had some flat sections too. Nice and cool even in July as you’re under tree cover the whole way. Fun payoff midway through at the Overlook with great views of the surrounding peaks. Some bugs but not too bad. We parked in the Kent Pond boat ramp lot, crossed the road, and were on the trail in minutes. Great half day hike!

Great trail, the first half was very pleasant. Lots of flowers and running water sounds. The second half was definitely more of a hike but still lovely. There’s a fun bridge towards the end

Today was muddy but great. Spring is definitely coming in. It was good to have spikes at the top as it was slippery with snow and ice still. Not a hard core workout but a good loop. The lookout is nice!

We parked in the off season lot just past the trailhead, coming from Burlington. You can access the trail from this lot a few different ways. We started with micro spikes but went back and grabbed snowshoes. There is still a lot of snow, some was melting so you post hole without snowshoes. The view at the top was pretty but insanely windy and cold today. There are Trail Blazers but we somehow ended up getting a little off track a few times(see recording).

As of April 6, still too much snow for us to manage this ascent (had poles and micro spikes, not snowshoes.) Bailed but had a nice circuit around the campground instead.

A little more strenuous than moderate in some sections. The overlook is beautiful....worth the extra .4 miles.

Hiked this short loop on a Friday as a warm up for the weekend. It starts out pretty steep but levels off. The overlook is worth the hike. Great hike if you are staying at Gifford woods state park
