HikingGreat!Muddy

Really great trail! there was some ice left over but nothing you needed microspikes for. It was very slick in some places and moderately muddy throughout but nothing out of the ordinary for New England in April. great views! great falls! highly recommend!

Cool weather today, cloudy and grey, but still a good hike. The trail is very well marked, but a bit muddy. Virtually no ice or snow left.

Very slippery halfway through. We came unprepared without any yak trax so we had to turn around.

Perfect conditions for microspikes. The trail was nicely packed with a few inches of Fluffy powder.

Enjoyed a beautiful, although icy, winter hike. My siblings and I may have been ill equipped for the conditions, but with nobody else on the trail we could fully experience the charm and charisma that the Vermont terrain has to offer! Would recommend.

12/13 - my dog lost his electronic collar on this trail somehow today. If anyone finds it can you please leave it at the trailhead! Also the markings have been Painted recently so the trail is super easy to follow again!

A well-maintained trail that is easy to follow. young kids with us had a blast. Older adults had a bit of difficulty with the incline and terrain. Healthy, active adults didn't have trouble with the elevation gain.

I thought this was a very well marked hike. Lots of leaves, slippery. Just took my time. Which is what I do best. I more of a mosey-er. Beautiful. But ran into a couple of big families. It is well traveled. Enjoy !!!

I felt the trail wasn’t marked good at all.... leaves and trees down hid parts of the trail.... coming down the mountain lost my way because of it.... ended up past the parking lot.... someone should make the trail better....

We arrived at the parking lot at 10:30 and took the last parking space. This is an excellent beginner hike, though keep in mind it does get fairly steep. Pros: - Three separate waterfalls that are beautiful - A few good viewpoints of the surrounding area - Most people wear masks or step aside to respect social distancing - Trail is clearly-marked and easy to follow Cons: - Fairly crowded, especially in the early afternoon - No way to view the Crystal Cascades Falls (the largest one) head-on without going off-trail and doing some fairly involved climbing

HikingGreat!

A beautiful trail that leads to Crystal Cascades Fall which is mostly dried up but nevertheless grand. It’s rated as moderate but I think it’s on the easier side. Very well marked. High traffic and we met dogs, young children and seniors and all ages in between. The trail offers fun varieties- rocks (big and small), roots, a ladder - with mild ascend and back. An option to summit is a plus. I’d recommend it!

Fun, short hike. Final ascent to the falls’ top is quite steep but worth the scramble.

The falls were basically dried up except for a very small trickle.. also the trail brings you out to the top of the fall... and you than have to walk a pretty narrow steep trail to the bottom as far as I could see, it being dried up I didn’t bring my kids all the way down to it... and don’t think they would have made it even if it the falls were going good with water.. there is a nice little view on top of the falls though.. we did end up climbing all the way up to Gus lookout and that was a great view!

Beautiful views. My sister and I went during a time that the waterfall was mostly dried out, but we were nevertheless astounded by the wide, open views of the mountains below.

The state park entrance was closed so we decided on this trail last minute. It was very much worth it. Moderate to easy hike with some great spring time views and water falls.
