A nice, solid walk\hike. Surprisingly varied terrain — board paths over soft ground; rambles through pines; a couple (very short) hills; and mowed paths through fields. Some portions of the trail are close to the pond, with some good stopping points. Very good signage including a halfway-point marker. Some bugs in spots but nothing terrible. Mud was minimal today (July 11) but it’s easy to see that it was a big issue earlier in the season. Overall, a really nice spot and very little traffic.

Muddy. Nude guy coming up the trail near where it links with the field. Weird. Temps in the 70’s and not that humid but oddly very hot.

Fun Trail. So muddy lol

nice casual trail, only half of it is truly by the water. I'd wait a few weeks if you don't like mud.

Substantially muddy in many places. Bypasses, board walks, and stepping stones help, but it is not possible to complete the trail without getting your boots muddy. Some of the stepping stones and board walks are unsteady in the mud, so this isn't a great choice for those with balance impairments. Other than that, it was a nice hike for a beautiful day.

Beautiful day, but you will get muddy! Shoes almost came off in the mud a few times, but there were plenty of people and dogs out anyway!

Nice little trail around the pond. In the winter it freezes over and ppl Nordic ski/skate. Very pretty.

Great place to run and take a quick dip in the pond. There’s a rope swing on the north peninsula and a pretty easy cut off trail to find it.

It says 3 miles but it feels longer, parking is also quite problematic with the limited number of spaces and the rules about not parking on the road side. But the hike itself is beautiful.

Great local place to get away and get exercise. Small inclines, fields and the pond.

Even though it is rated Easy, there are some pretty step and long climbs. For our first outing may have been more than we should have tackled. Looking forward to doing it again when we’re better prepared. Last leg near edge of water isn’t much fun. High weeds and brush on a very narrow path.

Really enjoyed this area. Had a little of everything. Some nice inclines to get a workout but not too rigorous. Loved the different venues, from meadows to walking along the pond and through the canopy of trees. Definitely will go back! Well maintained and easy to navigate.

The trail is well-groomed with many platforms to navigate wet areas. Most of the trail winds through wooded areas and the canopy provides a cool, shaded walk. We were hoping for more views of the pond, but still a scenic walk in the Vermont woods.

So many wildflowers in the fields surrounding the pond! Many areas with planks that go over wet spots, a well-maintained trail. When we're back in the area we'll definitely do it again!

Great loop. Didn’t see anyone else on the entire trek. Moderate with a 3.5 year old on your back. Very pretty and well maintained!

I went running on this trail and enjoyed SO much! I had trouble on some of the muddy spots when I was running and slipped!

This is a really pleasant 3 mile loop around a pond. It is definitely kid-friendly with minimal incline, planks to avoid mud and muck, and lots to check out in terms of wildlife and scenery. Went two days in a row this week and noticed different animals and parts of the landscape on both. Seems like an easy place for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding as well!

The trail is well maintained and marked and follows the lake pretty much all the time. Board walks over wet areas facilitate the walk. We saw a beaver and wild Mosquitoes ! Nice easy walk with our dogs.

Nice short hike around the pond. Good for dogs. Had forests, fields, lake views, swampy areas, and a couple steep areas. Lots of mosquitoes. Was a little upset to see a woman with three unleashed dogs on the trail, since I was there with my puppy. Leash your dogs for everyone's safety.
