Some pretty parts along the way however tough trail if you have knee issues. Also, as others stated, not well marked in areas so be sure to bring your All Trails app. Only slightly muddy in a spot or two.

It doesn’t have any signs. Easy to get lost without a map.

My pup and I had a great time walking the pine needle trails on a Sunday. Only passed 3 others. The little pond located at the center of the figure 8 on the trail was filled with tadpoles and minnows. Lots of wildflowers, some rooty areas and some incline. Small areas of the trail were a little grown in and some trees had fallen over the trail. Beautiful, shaded hike. Parking, like another mentioned, is a mystery. I did park in the lot where it says “permit only” because it was outside of the restricted times. Otherwise, I have no idea where I would have parked.

Lovely place to spend 30 minutes or 2 hours, right in Burlington. Lots of connecting trails to make a longer hike, or just do the basic loop for a quick one. Buggy by the water, so bring repellent. There are great walk ways over the creeks and swampy parts. Also lots of offshoot footpaths to help explore the creek. I've only been in the evening, but I hardly ever see anyone. Some areas a little overgrown but doesn't hinder the hike too much. Be aware the trails aren't marked, so it can be easy to get turned around.

Only saw one other person which was nice! I was thankful for the map on this app because not having done this trail before I feel like I could have easily walked in circles!

No parking area that I could locate. Campus police and permit required hospital staff parking areas were nearby. I decided not to risk being towed.

We had fun on this little trail. Its secluded with some fallen trees along the trail. A great place to look for some bugs and little creatures inside logs. We also found some beautiful painted rocks along the trail!

This is a great walk if you want some woods, some uphill and don’t have a lot of time. Well maintained, with quite a few trail options.
