Really fun hike with beautiful views for the entirety of the last third to quarter of the hike when you’re above the treeline. Lots of rock scrambling.

Beautiful trail, muddy once you turn into the last section to Canilever Rock, but over all 9/10

Went up Laura Cowles trail and down the Sunset. LC tr was steeper - more on line with an Adirondack 46er, and the Sunset tr only steep at top. Nice views - some water halfway up both sides if need to refill.

Wonderful trail, well-maintained with a handful of foot bridges. Trail is gorgeous and rocky - watch your step. The path up to a Catilever is not too strenuous but got my heart beating good and my calves are a wee sore a couple days after. Wear bug spray; trail is near water. Highly recommend packing a lunch for the view at the rock. You can continue on the sunset ridge trail to reach The Chin but we knew the trail climbed harder after the rock, so we did not go.

Holy camoly, hardest trail I’ve done this far. Not saying a lot for trails, but it’s saying a lot for me! Lots of scrambling, steep, steep and did I mention, steep?! Beautiful view from Cantilever Rock. Would be a good resting point before tackling the chin of Mansfield. Unfortunately didn’t finish, didn’t eat properly before hiking and got overheated. To be continued.....

Great trail up until the top. There really wasn’t any view. We ended up doubling back and hiking up to the chin which is about another half mile or so. We decided we would keep hiking until we were satisfied and canteliver rock just wasn’t what we were expecting.

I really enjoyed this trail and can’t wait to do it again. The trail started dry, worked it’s way into mud puddles, and then into slushy slippery snow. Bring micro spikes. I made it to the rock and was slightly disappointed in the slippery slush that covered it. Unfortunately I was unable to climb up onto the rock for the viewpoint, I kept sliding off, but I will be back in the summer to get the view I worked for :)
