A little wet at beginning. Quickly turned to snow which was hard packed all the way to summit. A little soft at noon on way out. Average great condition.

Great day! Awesome, but cloudy, very windy and cold at the top. Warm and sunny at the bottom

Awesome hike, did it in winter a week ago. Microspikes were a must. Temperature also fluctuates a lot needed super warm gear and ended up taking lots of layers on and off throughout the hike. Filmed the entire hike, check it out on youtube: https://youtu.be/OMvjCaWjDaQ

Awesome trail. Moderate level intensity. Great views from above. Only thing is, if you go during the winter, you MUST wear micro spikes. Icy as hell. Hiked without then and fell numerous times. Highly recommended.

Trail is in great winter condition. Micro spikes or crampons highly recommended, really icy in spots as expected.

A great hike. Entire trail packed with snow, some ice, and crazy wind at the summit. Micro spikes needed.

Trail was covered in snow today but well compacted and easy to walk on. Bring layers!! I was warm on the way up but the summit is chilly and a little windy. No need for snowshoes yet but bring spikes- you will want them! Not too crowded. I started at 9am and was back to my car at 12

Few fellow travelers, trail in good shape except for a few down trees , need spikes.

Great trail - well marked, heavily traveled but not too crowded, and amazing views of Vermont, the NY High Peaks, and Lake Champlain. This was a great afternoon hike on a chilly, clear Saturday in November. About 3.5 hours up and down, even though trail was mostly covered in snow and ice. Be aware, the summit is extremely windy, icy, and frigid.

11.3.19: Cold day began at 11am. VERY MUDDY! Half way up it began to snow and it was very icy! Was able to make it to the saddle and did not summit. A few downed trees but other then that it was a fun hike! My first time!

Got there around 11am, parking lot was full. Bring gloves and some layers to wear at the summit. Lots of cars parked along the road when I left at 215pm
