Good hike, somewhat crowded but expected on a holiday weekend w/great weather. Not too challenging and solid 360 degree views at the peak.

Awesome hike to a great view. Went in early afternoon after some morning rain so the trail was very muddy. Which made the hike a little more strenuous. But an amazing trail that leads right to the summit of Bromley. Would definitely do this again in the fall. Definitely hit some bugs but was cold enough that it wasn’t an issue.

My wife and climbed up Bromley but from the North side with entry from Mad Tom Notch instead of from Rte 11. Still on the AT/LT but the trail is much easier with gradual increases in elevation... only really steep near the end. We had a great sunny day and only met a few people at the top. There were a few patches of snow/ice on the way up but nothing that was un-passable. Plenty of photo ops in all directions at the top... even the tip of Mount Washington on the farthest horizon. Should be a good hike for older children as long as the distance of 5 miles, total, is not too much.

We loved it. Lots of brooks and changes of scenery. Didn’t make it to the top due to kids but we hope to next time.

Great hike! Beautiful top view of Bromley

The trail got pretty muddy at times and the top was covered in snow and ice. Great views in all directions at the top though!

Loved this hike. Fairly gradual until you hit the short part on the ski trail at the top. Beautiful. A little muddy bc it is mud season. Well marked and near impossible to get lost.

Lightly packed powder with only a few icy patches. Well marked trail, nice easy/moderate gradient the entire climb up. Great views from the top.

Nice quick up and down.

Moderate trail with a lean to on the way and primitive campsites next to the lean to. Great 360 views at the top. There’s actually a lift running to the top for skiing and snowboarding in the winter. Plenty of water along the trail and next to the lean to but not at the top.

Great hike with an old friend on Friday the 11th. The weather was just right and the foliage was very nice. I think this trip would be a great family outing as well.

A great day on the trail today. Went in the afternoon and despite it being peak leaf season, had the trail to ourselves. This hike isn't too steep so it's fairly easy to get to the top of the mountain. Note that this distance is off. It's really 3 miles each way (I don't think all trails is counting the last part where you have to hike up the ski trail to get to the summit). 360 views at the top, so well worth it.

Nice, pretty easy hike to top of Bromley Ski area. Muddy in spots, but it rained hard all day yesterday. Small portion is ski trail. Got about 15 minutes alone at top. Great 360 view at summit. Stopped by the shelter to check it out and had a nice talk with a thru hiker named Nightblazer.

pretty easy hike up the back of bromley

Delightful trail of a little over 3 mi in length. At about 2mi is labeled spur trail to a shelter, and about 100 yards past the shelter is a tent platform. A privy is also close if needed. A little less than a half mile up trail is a very nice vista (labeled such on a trail sign). A little farther, After climbing more than 1000 of the 1400+ elevation gain, the trail empties onto a ski trail, following it to the summit. Great views; we found it interesting to explore some of the ski trails and the different views each provided. There was quite a bit of company on the summit, most of which arrived by the summit chair lift. Incredible foliage, and a gorgeous weather day. Grateful to have made the trip.

Hiked this on 9/13 on a gorgeous day (think I saw one of the other reviewers at the top!). I agree with other posters that this is more on easy side of moderate. No real crazy steep section to top or mad scrambles over rocks. But due to length (6 miles as opposed to 5.3 listed and could be more if you check out shelters, etc.); and need to still watch footing I’d leave as moderate. Views at top can’t be beat despite ski equipment. Took me about 4 hours without rushing. A really nice hike.

Hiked 9/13, a beautiful clear and crisp day! Nice trail, just a little muddy in spots. Trail signs show 6.0 miles vs. 5.3 listed here? Rated as moderate, but we’d say it an easy-moderate. No scrambles or steep sections, just a nice steady climb. View at top is beautiful and we could see all the way to Mount Washington. Only downside is the ski equipment at the top takes away from the 360 view.

Great trail awesome views at the top of BROMLEY as far as the eye can see.Vermont never disappoints.

Nice trail with lovely views at the top where the bromley ski lift sits. This trail is on the very easy side of moderate in fact it should maybe be marked on the hard side of easy. Almost no scrambles and very little challenge but fun for all ages.
