Great stretch of the LT for trail running. Very limited views but remote and beautiful. Going all the way to Mt Wilson seemed pointless. Shorten the out and back by turning around at the Emily Proctor lodge.

Nice bit of trail, but there are no panoramic views. However, a short detour to Skyline lodge (~500 feet off the trail after Battell peak) offers a lovely view of the mountains in the distance, across Skylight pond. That view is better than any available along the trail in this section. A good mid-June hike, just a bit of mud.
