trail was fun we found two of the 7 geo caches along the way. trail easy to follow
As part of our stay at Bomoseen State Park, we did this trail on our second day. We weren’t disappointed. After a short walk through an open uphill trail, we entered the forest, thankful to get out of the sun. The trail is mostly covered with pine needles, so it was easy on the feet. There were a few places that you had to really pay attention to trail markings so you don’t end up bushwacking. Also, a few places that needed some maintenance, but overall, it was a terrific trail.
I did this hike with my daughter and it was super easy and we enjoyed it. We parked at the Bomoseen State Park entrance for the beach and followed the signs, we followed the trail to the left up the hill before entering the woods (you can go straight too, the trail is a loop) and there was frequent blue arrows on the trees which helped us move along quickly without wondering which way to go as it seems like the trail wasn’t heavily trafficked so a little bit grown and direction could have been mistaken if it weren’t for those arrows!
Great trail. Its part of Bomoseen State Park. I passed the hike and had to turn around. Overall, this is the first time I have done this hike, it was a good hike , does need a bit of a cleanup in some areas.
