Bittersweet Falls

Excellent winter scene...

Excellent! High water volume day post storm! Wow, there’s usually just a trickle coming down this horsetail. Not today! As others have mentioned there is the TAM Blue Trail that connects to the TAM Jackson Trail, which allows you to arrive on foot. A much more enjoyable way to experience the falls. In Spring or high water these falls can be very beautiful, but usually aren't much to see. Plus of you're here in summer the flies are horrendous. There is (rough) access to a spur trail that connects uphill past the falls to the North Country Trail.

Not really a hike. There's a small pullover and then a few steps and then you are there. Fun for the kids to kick off their shoes and play in the water, only a few deeper pools of water, lots of frogs, fish... some somewhat flat rocks if you want to pack along a lunch. Appeared to be a newer trail but very steep for 4 young kids. Nice stop if you're already in area.

The falls are gorgeous! Very close to the road and not really much to see other than the falls.

breathtaking, simply beautiful! there is not much to do but an amazing place to relax and enjoy the day.

great waterfall after rain or snow melt. went today and had a blast. it's is only a couple hundred feet from the road and easy to get to. I would not reccomend unless after a major rain storm or snow melt in the spring, as it dries up.

Super easy hike. Best time to do it is in the winter or around April. Any later the bugs are terrible. It’s a wonderful spot to walk take your dogs for a swim have a little fire .

I’m not really sure what the 5 mile hike the other reviewer did was, but these falls are about 100 feet from the road. Not really a hike, but an amazing spot to check out if you’re in the area.
