Excellent! High water volume day post storm! Wow, there’s usually just a trickle coming down this horsetail. Not today! As others have mentioned there is the TAM Blue Trail that connects to the TAM Jackson Trail, which allows you to arrive on foot. A much more enjoyable way to experience the falls. It's approximately 2.2 mi on the Blue Trail to the falls via Jackson Trail. See the TAM trail map on their website for more detailed info. https://www.maltvt.org/tam-maps
Not really a hike. There's a small pullover and then a few steps and then you are there. Fun for the kids to kick off their shoes and play in the water, only a few deeper pools of water, lots of frogs, fish... some somewhat flat rocks if you want to pack along a lunch. Appeared to be a newer trail but very steep for 4 young kids. Nice stop if you're already in area.
I’m not really sure what the 5 mile hike the other reviewer did was, but these falls are about 100 feet from the road. Not really a hike, but an amazing spot to check out if you’re in the area.
