Best hike I’ve ever done. Very well marked trail, great views, very beautiful forest trails. It’s definitely longer than advertised on AllTrails but worth every second. Would do it again, maybe next week!

NOTE: when you enter this trail and cross the bridge, immediately take a right up the rocks. Use the white painted trees as a guide. Coming back down hill, we turned the hike into a trail run. Great experience! Really spectacular view .9 miles in.

Moderate Hard Trail, Started at 103 headed South. Trail was steady climb with a few leveled areas starting about 1/3rd of the Way, few Vistas, Visited the shelter and continued on, lots of cool ledge stairways. Was muddy in some spots along with lingering ice. Phone died before I headed down and ended my hike at RTE 140. This can be done in about 3-3.5 hours max. Was cooler today around 38 so didn't explore to far off the trail. White blazes are scarce at beginning.

good hike. We went left after the suspension bridge and followed the river to a dead end. the trail starts at a sharp right after the bridge. follow the white blazes on the trees. We went to the first overlook and turned around.

their is a couple good vistas along the way. most of the trail is shady even when the sun is out. it may be worth trying to catch another vista more south of the shelter before turning back. the trail and shelter are well taken care of.
