This was weird, short and not very exciting. Definitely not 1.3 miles and no real interests along the way to note. Utterly skip-able.

Good trail. The walk could be longer than the map shows. My children and I walked down several trails. My daughter, 3yo, did get tired due to the small elevation change. but it was well marked and had a few structures to visit. Brought my dog on leash, he had a good time. good views and small ponds to visit.

Rather short. Very steep. Dark not high quality forest.

A fine train for snowshoeing. Starts you at the top of the hill so you coast down then have to slog back up. Would be easier to do in reverse. In winter, the access road is marginally plowed and basically single track, so it is moderately treacherous. The trailhead parking lot will be closed so you must park in a passing place on the road. Not ideal.

You can actually hike in a big loop about 3 miles in this natural area. Wonderful trail in early fall, very secluded and quiet with mushrooms and wildflowers galore.

Beautiful trail, well managed. Some trees are down currently (05/21/16) but nothing you can't easily pass. A couple muddy patches but surprisingly good condition. Be sure to have bug spray and plenty of water. The hike back up is a moderate incline so save your energy.

We hiked a lovely three mile loop on the Amity Pond Trail starting from Allen Hill Road. There is a kiosk there with a map, take a photo of the map before you go. It's 1.5 miles mostly down hill to Broad Brook Road, turn right on the road to the little village of East Barnard, then right at the church and right just past the first house back onto the trail for another .7 miles mostly uphill back to the beginning. It is well marked and easy to follow.

Nice trail. Little anticlimactic since it comes to end at a road. A few nice old growth trees off the trail. Well marked.
