Very beautiful views of the valley. Steep to get up to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail then pretty easy. Would highly recommend this trail. Start early and there’s a decent amount of shade.

One of the best Salt Lake Valley views!! The beginning is steep. Be prepared. Such an easy going hike after the initial climb. I went early and saw the sun rise over the mountains and into the valley. Gorgeous!!

Beautiful time of year and especially if you go early in the morning. It is still a little cool and crisp. Very clean and Lash! A favorite.

I started early, so was able to avoid the heat that I know will come with this West facing trail. The climb up the Z trail is pretty steep, but one on the BST, it turned into a rolling trail with great views of the valley and nice occasional shaded spots. Not very wide, it’s still easy to pass incoming traffic in most spots. As mentioned before, this is a good trail for the mild challenge and easy access.

did this during a thunderstorm and it was great! will be back to see it in better weather soon. first half mile is steep and a lil tough but gets way easier after. end of trail is a crossroads so bag it if you want but nothing to see there, plenty of great views along the way anyway!

Nothing to write home about, but this hike makes for a nice for a lazy-day/rehab/recovery hike for those wanting to get outside without having to go very far or work super hard. I went around noon and only saw a few people on my way back.

This trail rewards you from the first footsteps with lush landscape. Only partially shaded at the beginning, then mostly exposed from there on out. The trail offers 180+ degree views of the valley, though we found the last 1/4 mile or so of the hike was relatively pointless as the best views are from a rocky lookout point just before that last stretch. The only point of going to the end for us was to finish the hike, though there are connecting trails at the end near the Mt. Olympus trail that might be useful to others. All in all, a fantastic hike the whole family can do!

Wonderful trail! Went midday during the week and only saw a handful of other people. First half mile is a bit steep, but levels off after the third switchback. Trail is well shaded until a mile in. There are a ton of beautiful wildflowers in bloom right now. Saw two snakes sneaking off the trail, didn't confirm if they were rattlesnakes or not. overall, great hike with lots of stunning views of the valley. Great for a lazy hiking day!

Did this on Mother’s Day early evening and saw less than a dozen people. There’s no shade after the second turn of the Z so be prepared! Also after that second turn it evens out and the walk along the shoreline is easy and beautiful. This is along private property lines so just be respectful of the signs.

Love this trail! Gorgeous views almost the entire hike. Wildflowers were spectacular. The only down side is the traffic noise that you hear in some areas of the trail. Nice quick hike close by.

Great trail! Beautiful views of the valley while still being in nature. Passed a handful of trail runners, but otherwise very light traffic. Beginning .5 miles is tiring, but after that it’s a really easy/nice hike.

Great trail! Definitely got my heart racing, I know now why some call it the "Rollercoaster" trail . I wish the finish was better though, feels like it just end nowhere.

Great hike - love how the trail ends in a community above Holladay. Trail is clean and maintained - quite a few people and lots of dogs off leash.

Enjoyable, fairly quick hike with good views. First quarter of a mile is the steepest part of the hike, the rest is a steady up and down till you reach the end. Would do it again!

Nice morning hike. Very well maintained trail. Pleasant shade the first mile or so. Nice views considering the low elevation. Saw probably 20 people. Quite a variation in level of caution. Some in masks or literally covering their mouths with their hands as we passed, others socializing like nothing's out of the ordinary. Easy to find, get to and park. Will probably be back when seeking a short hike.

Today on April 11th, this trail was in good shape. The first half mile is steep and shaded with a tiny bit of mud and ice. After that you're in the sun and the trail is dry and beautiful. It is really narrow most of the way which makes it hard to follow the 6ft away rules currently but it wasn't too crowded and people did their best.

Did this hike just to get out with my sis & dog & it was beautiful in the snow. Not many people on the trail at all & didn’t even need spikes. You can hear the highway below but for a quick workout, this is a great option.

The trail was absolutely beautiful today. Only a small section was slushy. The fresh snow on the trees was so pretty and the view of the valley was nice too.
