I like this trail for snowshoeing. Most of the trail is not exposed to avalanches but the upper part is so you need to know the conditions in winter.
It’s secluded, nice views and wildlife like elk, moose in winter-mountain sheep and goats, bears and cougars in summer. Elk hunting traffic in fall.

Not a fan of this trail. Exposed, dusty, lots of scratchy brush overlapping the trail.

A lot of pretty sights on this hike. Not as spectacular as the area around Aspen Grove and Timp but so much more secluded. It can be hard to find the trail head but I'm leaving a few pictures that hopefully will prove helpful. Great if you're into continuous uphill. I tend to prefer a little more variety.
