Turret Arch is a beautiful free standing arch in the Windows area of Arches NP. The views over the area are exceptional. Follow the trail to the Windows, bearing right at the first intersection, and near the top of the ridge, leave the trail and go cross country to the Arch. There is good climbing for the kids and by going through the Arch a great view through Turret to the North Window and beyond. Also good views of the Cove of Caves and the Parade of Elephants.

Went for a sunset in March; very crowded at that time of day—lots of loud groups and people tucked into all the nooks and crannies. That said, it was beautiful, and still worth the stop. Did not attempt the primitive trail on the back of the North and South Arch. Pathways on the front of the two arches and to Turret were quite accessible and easy.

Poorly marked on back side of arches.

Easy hike and good bang for your buck since you get to see multiple arches. Not much excitement on the backside of primitive trail. I’d almost say just turn around and walk the front side so at least you have a better view of the arches while you’re walking.

This is an extremely easy hike and it's convenient to see three arches at once. They are huge and two out of the three are easy to walk into. There are multiple bathrooms at the parking lot, some were under construction while I visited. The parking lot fills up moderately quickly even in January. There was a medium amount of ice and snow on the trails but it was easily manageable, only little amounts of mud. We came on MLK Jr day and there was no fee to enter the park, a nice plus.

Unique and absurd. The trail takes you the back way and allows you to avoid some of the crowds.

A short hike featuring three impressive arches! Easy trail, even in the snow and ice present this morning. Can get crowded, but it doesn’t detract from the trail’s beauty.

Nice loop trail to view 3 arches. We took the primitive trail back to the parking lot and got off track at one point. It’s tricky to follow from that direction but its not like you will get completely lost. Even with the navigation issues, we enjoyed that part of the trail more.

Easy, accessible, great views without of arches within a short distance of one another. There was a bus load of tourists, but once they left it wasn’t busy. Had snowed overnight so a bit snowy/wet, just wear appropriate trail shoes!

Did the Primitive around Window and Turret and then Double.

Super easy hike but the windows are great. I agree with others who posted about doing the trail in reverse and starting with the primitive trail.

Love me some windows. Check it out at sunrise.

I would basically ignore any signs of “primitive trails” in this park - to me they just mean actual trails, as opposed to paved and leveled footpaths. I agree with other reviewers that the primitive trail was more fun and less crowded. Arches were beautiful. I wish people would respect the landscape and stay off of them.

We started on the primitive trail and it had a fantastic view. It was slightly more difficult than the main trail. The kids were happy to run around all sides of the arches.

Definitely hike the reverse of what the signs say— start with the primitive side. Way less crowded!

The path is busy but beautiful! Exactly what you would expect for a touristy short hike. It was very windy!!!

Nice easy trail with great views. Definitely take the primitive path around the other side of the arches to get away from the crowds. This walk is fantastic at sunrise and the hour after.
