Windows Loop and Turret Arch Trail is a 1.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Moab, Utah that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and snowshoeing and is accessible year-round.
A short hike to a lovely arch with great views. Turret Arch is a beautiful free standing arch in the Windows area of Arches NP. The views over the area are exceptional. Follow the trail to the Windows, bearing right at the first intersection, and near the top of the ridge, leave the trail and go cross country to the Arch. There is good climbing for the kids and by going through the Arch a great view through Turret to the North Window and beyond. Also good views of the Cove of Caves and the Parade of Elephants.
Be prepared for lots and lots of people. With that though, if patient you can get pictures with the arches without anyone in them. Easy trail.
Sunrise is a must see
There are more famous arches, but this collection of three is both beautiful and easily seen/walked by anyone.
Great hike for kiddos. Beautiful in the spring.
This was an easy hike and pretty rewarding. My kids, 4 and 6, had no problems on this hike and it wasn't scary with them like some of the others.
Easy, mostly flat, walk. Chilly in January at 34 degrees. There weren't a ton of people, but did take photos for a couple of groups. Went to the Turret Arch first, then over to the North and South Windows. Torrent and North are easy to get under- don't recommend attempting to climb into the south window. Even met a woman there who tried when she was 12, fell and broke her hip.
Easy trail that climbs and loops to both windows. Meet the ranger just off the parking lot for a great guided tour. They talk about how the arches were formed and the plant life along the trails.
Good low and easy hike
