Another way to get to Arches National Park

As long as you have clearance, this is an excellent alternative to the packed paved roads inside the park. Nice dinosaur tracks and ripples in the sandstone.

Fun way to get into arches. Did in landcruiser and lx570 with no lift. No problems.

Started down from the Salt Wash Trail and did the 1.8 mile trail from the Salt Wash Trail. enjoyed the rock climbing the beginning of the Trail. recommend modified vehicles only. the willow trail was fairly simple. the start of the Trail has no name but the rangers at the Arches park just call it the 4x4 trail.

This is the west entrance to Arches National Park. You start on US 191 about a mile north of Hwy 313 on Willow Spring Road. Several miles later you will cross Courthouse Wash. In wet weather, this can become impassable. Just before you get to the boundary of Arches, several good dinosaur tracks are on the right edge of the road. You'll come out in Arches at the Balanced Rock.
