This was a lovely trail that starts in a heavily wooded area and takes you though a canyon. We saw some deer along the way. There’s plenty of shade but you also get some sun once you’re in the canyon. There are a few places for a beautiful view of the canyon and rock formations. We went all the way without issue, but were dead tired by the time we got back to the car.

If you want spectacular views, this trail is not for you. If you like hiking in trees and through some grasslands, then you will probably like this hike. No view at trail end, but there is an old piece of farm equipment (possibly a drill for planting seeds) on the left just before the sign post.

Decent hike. No spectacular views. First mile after split off from Northgate peaks is pretty boring but it gets better

This was our second hike of the day. We did about 2.8 miles (1.4 out and 1.4 back). Not very scenic, but of course we did not do the entire trail which I’m sure would have been spectacular. We also only did the wooded parts so that was definitely why there were not very many views.

Views were okay. Pretty easy hike, decently flat but pretty rocky. Cool to see a different part of Zion. Took about 3.5-4 hours.

Loved this hike! It was super hot so bring lots of water. Two 20-year old unfit girls did it in about 4 1/2 hours.

Backpacking

If you need to commute for trans park reasons, go for it. Otherwise save yourself some time, energy, buzzing flies and scouring of weak camping options.

A little hot but then its August. Beautiful trail. Pretty easy. Wouldn't consider it moderate except the sun and heat.
