I would rate this easy unless it was raining. Short hike that my young kids loved. It really feels like your climbing on the back of a rock whale and there's a decent view around at the top.
short hike with a nice view from the top. there are better views to be had for sure but if you in a time crunch this is a great one
Beautiful view, short hike.
Fun, short trail that offers 360 degree views of Canyonlands.
It's a fun short hike with a few bouldering opportunities. Some neat views of Canyonlands from the top of the "whale."
Short fun hike. This trail gets almost no traffic, which is weird to me. Its a fun quick trail. You get to climb up onto whale rock and you can see amazing 360 degree panoramas of the entire canyonlands. It's quite amazing and yet very few people take this trail. It is an easy trail and less than a mile, so it goes fast. We climbed to the top, enjoyed the gorgeous views and meditated. It was amazing. Didn't see a single soul. Then we went to delicate arch which is had THOUSANDS of people (memorial day weekend), yet this trail had NOBODY! So thats awesome! This is a great, easy little treasure.
A fun little hike. Great views of Canyonlands (Island in the Sky)
