The Weber River Trail (Ogden) is the Ogden section of the Weber River Parkway. Its southern boundary is the Parker Drive Trailhead, and it travels north to the Skate Street Trailhead. Trail is excellent for biking and walking. With numerous points of river access, it is also a popular place for bird watchers, fishermen and nature lovers. This section is slow moving but suitable for kayaks or other small non-motorized watercraft, but boats should be taken out no further downstream than the Ogden Kayak park. An old Fort resides at Fort Buenaventura where you can also canoe around the pond and camp in one of the many improved camping spots.

29th Annual Easter Rendezvous and camped at Fort Buenaventura. Its was a little chilly but overall was a nice weekend. Spent most the day Saturday cooking for the scouts. Only had a little bit of time to hike around but I come to this park a lot so get to experience all the it has to offer. If you are hiking or riding this section of the trail swing over on one of the side trails and check the park out, see the old fort or even jump in a canoe and take a paddle around for a spin in the pond.

First time I road this I got lost at the Fort somehow. Go east when the road splits instead of continuing north to the industrial area, and then just cross right in front of the Fort's gate. You'll also have to zig and zag a bit at the Ogden Kayak park - the northern section is offset to the east from the southern section. It's a pretty good ride once you learn where you're going though, and most of this section is in the shade.

One of my favorite spots to go ride bike with the family. There are some great spots off the paved trail to take the bikes. I enjoyed the extension of the trail where they have added a bridge across the river, but it is a little close to the highway if you are looking for peace and quite. Stay on the main trail until the pavement ends and take the dirt trail through the woods on a little loop.
