8 miles of dirt road but good condition when dry like today. Great adventure to back in time millions of years
This map is a little misleading. This place is huge. Any direction you go, there are trails. The big cliffs are a reference point so getting lost isn’t really an issue. But if you’re on s dirt bike fill up your tank, gas and water. Fort pierce and the Dinasour tracks are cool. Lots of sand and river wash. Conditions change quickly after a rain. I recommend two-way radios. Have a plan. Be safe.
We visited this recreational area today and had a really good time. This site is popular among locals and has several trails to choose from. The trail is mostly red desert sand with plenty of whoops to enjoy. The scenery is amazing with some historic sites to see. Fort Pearce is a quick drive from the main road and there are some dinosaur tracks also.
