It was wonderful up until the point of it got dark and we were scared of the dark in a mountain. But it was fun!

Very few people after getting on Twin Lakes trail. Dusty, several talus areas, beautiful views, great creek to enjoy lunch at Twin Lakes.

This was a very heavily trafficked trail, but most people stop once they get to the front of the lake. It's another 3/4 mile to the back of the lake, where very few people go. Quite a few places to stay the night, with a few streams feeding the lake to get fresh water from. There was no shortage of firewood from fallen trees at the back of the lake. A few mosquitoes in the morning, but the bugs weren't bad for the most part.

Beautiful start. It gets quite rocky in after first third. Half shaded. The reservoir is pristine . Saw a moose by the shore. There are a few view points on the way to see silver lake which is breathtaking from a height. Fitbit recorded 4.1 miles from parking at silver lake.

Rocky and ooze in places the last 1/2 up, not real difficult with a peaceful lake at the end

Great hike! Beautiful trail. It gets a little technical at the top with lots of rocks and steep terrain. But it's doable. We did it with a 6, 3, and 2 year old.

Hiked in the early morning and only two groups of 2 were there. 1 up and 1 down. Very rocky and very steep. It was nice and worth it though even though there were no clouds by the time I got up so any pictures seemed flat. I’d recommend for all ages and sizes just don’t be discouraged if you need a break or two!

We completed it as part of the wonderful Lake Solitude to Twin Lakes Loop, returning to Silver Lake on this trail. We arrived early on a gorgeous late-July morning to beat the crowds. Fantastic views of the lakes and mountains, with lots of beautiful wildflowers blooming!

Beautiful lake and a good hike that challenged the kids. Pretty busy on July 24, but still had room to ourselves at the lake to enjoy a picnic. Beautiful wildflowers, and it was cool and windy up top. We had babies in carriers on our backs and were grateful for decent hiking shoes to keep us from slipping in the rocks in the way down. The last part of the trail is a little steep and quite rocky. So fun though!

This was a great hike. It’s highly trafficked and super busy, especially around Silver Lake. But then the crowds this out as you hike up to the reservoir.

Very rocky and steep on some parts but the lake at the top is gorgeous! Went in the middle of July and the wildflowers were in full bloom, great time to go!
