This is a series of trails crossing beautiful Zion National Park, doing it in a day is a huge challenge, but it can also be done as many more days.  Shuttle buses run from the Grotto. Beautiful segment along the La Verkin Creek. During that first 14 miles you hike in a lot of sand, in fact, most of the last 10 miles or so (of this segment) is in sand and a steady uphill climb.  Connector Trail has sand, steady uphill, open area with little shade for the first mile, then you get into pine trees, slick rock where the trail is well marked with cairns, then more pine trees (and more SAND, in fact there is alot of sand) with nice shade on a hot day.  Wildcat Canyon Trail section has steady uphill, lots more sand, one trailside spring with no potable water.  West Rim Trail is another beautiful section, walking on rim looking out at the amazing red and white rock formations.  Again, steady uphill in quite a bit of sand for about 6 miles, then you start descending on switchbacks through gorgeous canyons until you get to the connector trail that leads out to Angel's Landing.  Here you will need to use caution as there are some potential falls you could take. The rest is easy, you will walk down Walter's Wiggles, to the Grotto and get some water!
