Well traveled but less than AL or HC. Good starter trail for an extended stay.

I was underwhelmed with this hike. It's pretty quick without too much elevation. While you can see pretty far, the view at the end is marred by all the development you see within the valley in both directions. If you're looking for something quick to do after arriving late in the day or before leaving early (like we were) then it's a fine hike.

Decent view at the end. Moderate hike and with a loop at the end and then back the way you came. Park at the visitors center and the trailhead is near the campsite.

Great, I'd definitely do it again. We overshot how long it would take us to ascend, and ended up waiting an extra hour for sunset. The trail is SO easy to navigate, although we went out and back, did not follow the loop. great views, lots of people on the trail no matter what the weather is like (we were there when it was raining-sprinkling, really). can't wait to do it again during a different time of year!

Great hike. The views are breathtaking. We went after a winter storm dumped a ton of snow so it was a bit muddy and icy. It was well worth the mess.
