Great starter hike for Zion National Park.

Easy trails, nice views but as you get higher you see the road and parking lots.

Anywhere else but Zion this would be amazing. If you have limited time you might skip this one. The final loop trail is fun and a good area for a lunch break.

Good hike; the start has a good incline but then it levels out and gets easier. Great hike and views. We did a ranger guided hike (up the trail). Definitely would recommend if you have the time (longer due to stops and talks) but learned a lot about the life systems the park supports (botanical/animal).

This was a good moderate hike: not too easy, not too hard. Definitely worth the views at the top. This is not the hike to do in Zion if you’ve never done Angel’s Landing or The Narrows, or some of the other more famous hikes. But this is definitely a beautiful hike.

It's a fine hike which would deserve 5 starts except that you are in Zion and there are nicer ones to do for 3 miles. Still worth it.

Did this hike the afternoon we got intoZion. Not too hard but definitely worked up a sweat. Beautiful view and walking access from the visitors center.

Loved this trail. It has a few switch backs and is at a pretty steady incline, however it does level off and I never felt exhausted or too out of breath. At the top is a wonderful panoramic view of the west side of Zion. I personally would stop at the overlook next time, because I felt like the loop at the end did not provide any views or anything that I hadn’t already come across at the overlook, but if you want more exercise go for it! Overall a wonderful and short trail. Took us roughly 1.5 hours round trip.

great little trail with running water, birds and flowers. at the top is a wonderful view and a short loop that offers another view point and the curls around back to the top.

We did this trail in the morning. The views were beautiful. The trail is rocky with dirt but no large rocks to climb up. It was busy but not overcrowded.
I found this trail doable and the Archaeology Trail which is listed ad easy not so much. The Archaeology Trail has a very steep, rocky downward incline. I watched someone go up but almost could not get down.
I would suggest walking sticks.
So I loved this trail! Wear your hikers use your walking stocks and go!
Enjoy!

Beautiful views

exactly what you'd expect. We'll defined trail, heavily trafficked, semi steep for first 2/3 then slowly levels off. get to the top and do the loop extension to get the best panoramic views. Lots of family's and kids so take water and goat your own pace you'll love it! parking at the visitors center can be tough...we fought for 45min to find a spot at 1130am.

A great hike to get a panoramic view of the lower valley. A few switch backs and always going up but I didn’t feel like it was ever that steep. Rock steps in several sections. Great area at top to take in the view and rest. I think this is listed as a moderate trail in the park guide. I’m slightly afraid of heights and there were a couple of hikes in Zion I couldn’t do due to sheer drop offs and narrow paths. I just wanted to mention that I did all of the moderate hikes in the guide and did fine with the heights.

What makes this hike good is the accessibility and its relative ease - no need to wait for the Zion bus, just start out from the visitor center with a short walk alongside the river and then head up the trail . The steeper sections are easy to negotiate using the “steps” made from the rock and there always seemed to be a gentle section to help you recover. Use these sections to stop and look around and admire the views which quickly appear as you rise above the continued floor. Great panoramas of the lower end of the canyon and out over Springdale from the top make this well worth the time - a great Zion introductory hike to blow the cobwebs off your boots!

Did this hike and it had an amazing view from when you start and when you end. Well worth the hike.

This was a great hike for early march. You get to experience different climates which is cool, and gain elevation quickly due to the trail switchbacks. Other than it being moderately tiring just due to the elevation gain, it’s a good and very doable hike for all levels. Once you reach the “top” continue a very short ways down on the “loop trail just until you come up to the opening where you get the killer view of Zion at all angles. Great spot for lunch and pictures.

This was a moderately difficult hike, and it leads to some great views although you can see some buildings down below. In my opinion, it gave me a different perspective of some of the peaks.

Wonderful views from the top. Worth the trip.

A great trail, well worth the effort to get to top. View is the best. Be sure to do the Loop out at top, you won’t be sorry. Good for most ages, and watch for Bighorn Sheep as you go up!

Easy hike that leads you to a spot where you get a great shot of the valley. I was quite surprised by how great the view was

This is a very demanding uphill trail, the first mile will beat you down.
Take it slow and bring water.

This trail leads to a great viewpoint that lets you see down both sides of the canyon. Yes, you can see some of the buildings and roads of Zion, but you still have a great view of the canyon walls.

Great views of the Zion Canyon. We decided to do this trail when we were unable to drive North to the majority of the park. Great for young kids, gains some elevation but nothing too strenuous. Great end view.

Busy trail but very easy to get to from the visitor center. Not strenuous. Some shade. Views at end up and down the canyon were beautiful

Nice that it wasn’t crowded, but leads to a view of the civilized part of Zion like roads, buildings, and buses.
