Plenty of street parking. Trail is pretty narrow as it looks to follow an old wash in some parts. It's a good idea to use the AllTrails Recorder because it is easy to get off course without realizing - lots of offshoots. There is minimal to no shade so plan accordingly. The rocks at the top are arranged to look like couches and chairs which makes for some good pics. The view is amazing the whole way up so if you can't make it to the top turn around and see the view, it will still be worth the trip!

I hadn’t seen any recent pictures of the trail so I thought no one could hike it anymore or it was covered in snow, but it was beautiful! Muddy and confusing at the beginning but the rest of the way was uphill covered in soft or packed snow, I wore regular street boots and I was fine. Can’t stress how gorgeous and calm it was. Didn’t see anyone else until I was halfway down. Had the entire living room to myself, haha.

Beautiful trail. Lots of people and off leash dogs. Strenuous climb up but beautiful views and stops along the way.

The living room trail itself is nice but I love running up here more than anything. Plenty of individual and connecting trails with plenty of up and down hill for an extra challenge. Lots of dogs! Pretty crowded on a Saturday morning but still had space to run.

Busy trail today with lots of families hanging out on top. There are a few spots along the trail where it’s icy but if you’re careful it’s not bad. I recommend poles and crampons is you are not sure-footed. The views are epic. I wish the inversion would blow out though.

Lovely hike if you’re short on time. Moderate enough to be a decent workout going up (took 40 minutes up), and cool city and Mountain views at the top. I’d love to catch the sunset up there next time. Took me 1 hour and 15 total with plenty of photo breaks.

Fun little hike! Definitely a good and quick workout. Nice view of the city! There were a lot of dogs and my dog loved the trail as well. This is a great trail of you want a quick walk through nature and you’re limited on time.

Pretty top overview of the city ! For a active hiker this hike was very easy and short , the top is so worth it ! The trails are a bit confusing since there’s no signs anywhere but keep going uphill where you see the rocky trail , or follow the map on here !

Solid intro to SLC hike. Something you can definitely bring out of towners on without acclimatizing folks to show them a great view of the city.

Very close to city and campus so lots of activity. Great hike with limited time. Views from top are worth it.

Not super easy to get to via public transit as an out of town visitor, but worth the trip! Altitude pretty serious but lovely views.

Came in from Tampa so the crisp air was fabulous. The colors of the leaves combined with the Mountain View’s were spectacular. The AllTrails map function helped me stay on trail because there are no trail markings. Going up was challenging but enjoyable stopping ever 15 minutes or so to look back and take in the view. Coming down seemed to go by so fast as the uneven condition of the path requires caution but it was a great couple hours.

I went far beyond the living room to the peak of the ridge this time. Always a great hike.

Plenty of street parking available. We came around 11 on Sunday morning and the weather was beautiful. The trail was fairly easy, and dog friendly!

Trail is pretty washed out and rocky. Using the app definitely helps in navigating which way to go to make your way since there really is no markings. Can be a busy one on the weekends and weeknights.
