I got around to editing my helmet cam video of my recent motorcycle ride on Squaw Peak Road. This is edited to be 8x fast motion so its not too long to watch. https://youtu.be/XaSnMnCVh24

It took me about 2.5 hours on my motorcycle, taking most of it slowly in first gear. It was never too narrow or steep, but it was sometimes hard to pick a line through the larger rocks and mud puddles. I got plenty of practice pulling small wheelies to get over rocks. I think I even got the timing right once.

It was an enjoyable experience. Saw turkey and deer, and the views were amazing.

I rode this trail in reverse starting on Springville side, and came out down the Provo Rock Canyon Trail. Lots of shade if doing this trail in the evening. The trail if fairly smooth if coming from the Springville side going up and starts to get rocky as you get around 7 miles up. Great views of mountains and valley below.

Did this trail on 7/25/19 (started in Springville at about 5pm, camped at Rock canyon for the night and finished up the next day). Really pretty scenery. Quite rocky and washed out in the first quarter of it (coming from Springville), as well as some larger foot-deep muddy areas that you cannot avoid/drive around. I did it with a Wrangler, 3.5in lift, 35in tires. You will need clearance to finish it in one piece.

Completed this trail on 07/21/2019 in my stock 2006 Jeep liberty. The first quarter of the trail is paved or an easy dirt road that takes you past a couple of designated campsites. But eventually the road gets pretty rough with rocks, potholes and ruts but a standard 4x4 will be fine, though I would recommend skid plates if your vehicle does not have a lift. The main thing to see is various lookout points where you can see Orem,Provo and Utah Lake.

Trail is blocked by snow about halfway through as of 6/9. It’s a beautiful drive and starting though the springville side has a couple awesome lookouts on the offshoots.

Drove this many years ago with the family when the road was in better condition and didn't require a 4x4

Beautiful morning drive. Loose rock on some of the climbs, and large potholes/pits on the road.

This is a fun and scenic route with a little bit of everything. It is really close if you live or are visiting in Utah County. Saw deer and other wildlife.
