Easy on the elevation changes and not very technical but long enough to be challenging for some. Went in the morning around 8:30 on a Saturday and got back around 11. Would not suggest going any later than this on a weekend if you like to hike peacefully.

We found this on AllTrails after realizing the Kolob Canyon entrance you Zion was closed for COVID. Tried Kanarra Creek first, but they were full and out of permits, so we decided to give spring creek a shot. When we arrived there was only one other car in the lot, and that held the rest of the day. We saw very few people. The trail goes from sandy/sage sort of surroundings to a slot canyon with trees and boulders. Nothing too difficult or strenuous and you could hike on the trail or in the wash depending on how much little up and down you wanted to do. Beautiful red rock the whole way to the end and lots of spots to looked awesome to sit and have lunch in the shade. If you want a less travelled road outside Zion, this is the one

left around 6pm, it was so beautiful and not very hot at all considering it was about 100 degrees in St George at the time.

July 24, 2020. Began early in the morning. The scenery gets better the farther you go. Too many people have left TP and other garbage on the trail. That was the worst part of it.. Otherwise a wonderful hike.

Great hike. The highlight was a Timber Rattle snake. Challenging rock climbing towards the end of the canyon. Still some water coming down the canyon.

Trail starts of smooth but then it turns into an ankle twister. Overall it was a nice trail and took lots of pics. Was a hot day, took plenty of breaks and drank plenty of liquids.

Beautiful trail! Great for kids (9+). Fairly flat, although you have to climb some rocks at the end in the slot canyon. Take a distance tracker so you know when you’re at the end (2.45 in, then 2.45 out). I think a ton of people quit before they see the most beautiful parts. The slot canyons are high and a beautiful red color. Mostly shaded and some water along the way. Overall an easy home with gorgeous scenery.

Absolutely beautiful! We wanted to escape So Cal for the weekend and hike a slot canyon, and this did not disappoint. Took a while to get to the canyon entrance, but once we got there, the views were stunning. We don't have views like this in So Cal! Several creek crossings which made it fun, amazing rock walls on the sides of us that had us constantly looking up. Not many people on Father's day when we went. Glad we started semi-early because the way back was getting hot during the exposed section at the beginning. We will be back to Utah for sure!

Love this trail! Great for kids. Criss-crosses the stream which is fun along the way. And the slot canyon at the end is totally worth it! A less busy alternative to Kannarraville Falls trail.

Would recommend! You have to hike in about 1.5 miles before getting to the canyon but it is totally worth it once you are there. Lots of shade and fun boulders to climb around. However don’t expect solitude, plenty of other people on this trail.

Did the hike with the dogs and kids! It was fun! Kids and dogs could play in the creek along the way and we’re able to stay cool.

Hike was awesome! Our family of 4 (all adults) started at 8:30 as the sun was mostly below the canyon walls which made for a lot of fresh , cool air! The start of the trail winds towards the slot canyon and create a lot of anticipation of what you’ll see next. With Zion Kolob canyon still closed, this trial has been getting a lot more action so the earlier you arrive, the less crowded.

Great easy hike (more of a walk). Did this with a baby in tow in a backpack. About a mile in, it cools down quite a bit because of the slot canyon. It was a bit crowded up until about 1.5 miles in. We went until 2.5 miles- not sure how much further it went but around that point there were some big boulders. Beautiful easy hike that follows the river bed!

Super fun hike! Lots of scenery, not too hot, nice little stream along the way up. Takes a bit to get to the slot canyon but totally worth it! Pretty consistently flat most of the way, with the occasional hill or two. Lots of nice shady spots to take a break at! Overall a fun hike that’s quick but the sand at the middle was kind of brutal and slowed the group down a bit. Super fun though, would 8/10 recommend

It was so windy this am so a good hoodie was needed and it was super comfortable. We stopped and took some breaks. It gets a little congested but mostly people are friendly and very caring for those coming down. Tons of shade and the last little bit is slippery in some spots. Took my kids and our niece that was 2 and she even joined in the hike the last little bit.

Tons of fun and super gorgeous! Lots and lots of bugs! Slot is about a mile and a half down the trail, but it goes super far back! Even farther than what’s listed on here! Amazing views and overall a very good family friendly hike!

Great trail, and easy to find. Wide open Canyon with greenery and flowers narrows to a slot Canyon with sheer red rock walls. Small creek the whole way, dome rocky areas. I hiked for 2 hours, taking many, many pictures because it was so beautiful. *Didn’t ever reach an end, though I climbed over several boulders. I will do this again, but it’s important to watch the weather and not go when rain is likely.
