Do not attempt to do this trail from West 4200 or any of the other adjacent roads. This area is building up and houses are blocking the old access trails. We went to the trail along a fence. When we got to the trails there were Park signs saying not to access from there. One sign actually said illegal trail. We went into the State park and did a few wonderful trails.

Tried going here today based on directions. Many signs posted saying private property, keep out and no trespassing. Tried al three roads closest to the trail head and all had signs posted.

The petroglyphs were amazing, but the trail in the app is very hard to follow especially with new construction. Also, you have to park 2 roads down from maps starting point. We were told if we parked there our car would be blocked in. May be best finding alternative map.

Wandered into just a tiny corner of this route - I n account of having a 4-year-old and an elderly dog along. But just true drop into the canyon up to the Newspaper Rock sections was a ton of fun. Wandering around obvious drops and mini-slots around that zone yielded even more petroglyphs. Look closely and you’ll find little treasures!!

More of a rocky playground to traverse any way you choose than a given path. Surprisingly easy to access and super fun to explore! As with all hikes in the area, bring lots of water and sunscreen. Locating petroglyphs is one of my favorite hiking activities — the petroglyphs on this hike are a little hard to find and although they're not the best in the area, they're still very special. Take lots of pictures, but please don't touch. More info: https://hikestgeorge.com/hiking-trails/snow-canyon-state-park-petroglyphs/
