The trail itself is fairly droll with not much to look at. There's a lot of close trees, shrubs, and bushes close to the path, which is lower than most of the landscape for much of the trek. So there's not much of a view until the very end where the trail dumps out out at the northern most end of Snow Canyon State Park. That turnaround point offers arguably the best view of the park you could possibly ask for. For all you photographers out there, the trail is easily marked and followed, so if you're willing to hike in the dark then the shots you'll get at sunrise will be a just reward.

I really love this hike - 95% for the view at the end. The hike to get there is a gentle incline. Not much shade, and some deep sand towards the end. *Dog owners beware: my pup stepped on a cactus and I spent the evening on the bathroom floor picking out microscopic spines with some tweezers!

The view of snow canyon at the end is worth the walk. This trail is mostly just a flat rocky walk with some sand especially towards the end. It took us a little over 2 hours to do it and I tracked it at about 5.25 miles. It was a great trail for our dog to do with us and there was some shady areas which is nice.

Very good trail. The first mile is up, on a rocky trail, but super easy to follow as all you have to do is stay inside the barbed wire on both sides :) After crossing the fence the trail is easy to follow. It's a 4 as you pretty much can't see anything until you get to the end. Then it's what a view. Fantastic view straight down the canyon. Going to try this one very early to catch the sunrise, it will be amazing.

Just hiked 30 min then turned around. The overlook is beautiful but we didn’t have time to make it out all the way today.

Dog friendly. Path is very rocky and sandy. Hike is slightly uphill. Views are shrubbery, juniper trees and sand. The view of the canyon at the end makes the hike worth it.

Really fun & easy hike to spectacular views of the canyon! The tricky part was wading through thick sand but relatively flat & very easy to follow. Plenty of parking & map takes you right to trailhead. Trekking poles are not needed but boots recommended both for keeping out sand & navigating rocks..

A short, fun hike with cliffs and a good view at the end.

Wide rocky & sandy trail also used for horses. Not much of a view until the lookout, but that view makes it so worthwhile. We’ve hiked it for both sunrise and sunset and loved both.

I agree with a lot of the others that most of the trail is pretty plain, but worth it at the end. You follow a fence line for awhile on very rocky ground. Nothing much to see until the top with an incredible view of the canyon. There are a lot of great rocks to climb around on at the top as well.

As described by others, the trail isn’t anything exciting but the view at the end is totally worth it! Plus this time of year (May) all of the flowers were out, it was really pretty.

Great hike with stunning view at bluff overlooking Snow Canyon. 5 stars for this view alone. I also found the trail through the pines and junipers quite nice with a few shady spots on the trail. Some good views through the trees of distant snow covered mountains in April. Very green vegetation among trees in April. About a mile of hiking over sandy, cobbled/rocky trail, then some sections of loose sand, but not strenuous. Gradual sloping trail. Trekking poles for balancing across the cobbles was helpful.
