a beautiful and peaceful hike that is perfect if you want to do something easy and just walk around while holding your loved one's hand. however be prepared for a lot of people.

Great little walk, easy with the kids. This is heavy heavy populated place. It was snowing today and starting to get cold. Have fun!

Did this as part of the hike up to Twin Lakes. Was highly disappointed by the behavior of some others using the trail. There were two men who were smoking on the trail. This would be a great trail for people who aren't up for strenuous hikes.

Beautiful walk! There was a moose just off the boardwalk today, which is always super fun to see. The air was crisp and clear and definitely worth a trip up the canyon!

If there was a rating easier than easy, that's what this "trail" would get. Fantastic for anyone unsure if their skip level. Beautiful lake and scenery with plenty of wildlife (bring some bread to feed the ducks) most of the loop is a boardwalk that is stroller friendly. We took the stroller all the way around without difficulty and had lunch at the picnic tables.

Saw a bull moose lying down really right near the trail today.

Gorgeous and though forests and aspens. All sorts of sounds from wind and animals. Not to steep, I found this one easier than Twin Lakes.

Loved this easy walk around, stroller friendly path. My son (2) started in the stroller and a quarter into it, he walked because he was so curious and eager to explore. Halfway, was a little opening to the water where we saw a family of ducks. Near the picnic tables are loads of squirrels, chipmunks, and birds.

Very cool trail. Starts in a very crowded Silver Lake loop. End of August still had a great array of wild flowers. It was 100 degrees in the valley but only low 80’s up top so it was quite bearable even mid day. There was a bit of shade but not much. The lake at the top has other trails to explore. In a few days this hike I’ll have a ton of color with the trees changing. Should be a great show. We also saw a moose at the bottom at Silver Lake loop, who was hurriedly trying to criss the marsh because there were so many people around.

I do this “hike” all of the time with my 3 year old and now 1 year old. It is super easy, beautiful views, and fun for kids (especially if you bring duck food to feed the ducks. That is the highlight).

loved! we took the added hike to Twin Lake which was a bit steep for my kids (age 7, age 10), but they hung on there and we loved reaching the lake. on the way back down to Silver Lake, we saw a 2 point buck & two doe. Gorgeous dusk hike!

I'm a very over weight non-hiker, and forgot to put my sneakers on as well... this was easy peezy. Very, very busy.

Great little stroll and nice for out-of-town family and friends who are getting acclimated to the altitude. Nice to do on a weekday when it’s a lot less crowded!

Beautiful, mostly shaded hike. Great for kids, and beautiful views. You may see moose, hawks, chipmunks, deer, fish. Very easy hike and a great jog down.
