Sunny day with a bit of snow and mud on the ground. Easy enough to hike without spikes. We saw a herd of bison on the ridge when we looped to the left of sentry. we sat and watched them for a while. then doubled back and went up the right side of the loop where we saw another herd that were moving toward the trail. So we doubled back again and went down the mountain. The herds were amazing but we didn’t want to agitate them by getting too close. We also saw several pronghorn and heard some coyote howls. All in all a great day on Antelope Island.

Beautiful weather, nice mostly flat trail. Had to turn around because of bison on the trail.

The trail was dry and it was great weather. We passed a small gang of bison right below where the trail splits into the loop. They paid us no attention.

The weather was very pleasant. It was a fun hike. The road is closed 1/2 mile before the trailhead. We clocked it at 6.8 miles total.

Just following a dirt road for most of the hike until you get to Sentinel Peak, then it’s a pretty steep, but quick, hike to the top. Not much scrambling needed besides a few spots around the rocks. Pretty good hike and nice views

Amazing views, tons of wildlife. This was a top favorite hike for me. Highly recommend going in October on a chilly day - no bugs, and hardly any people.

HikingGreat!

Clearly marked trail; distance says 6miles but we clocked it at 5.7mi. Not too strenuous; easy ascent and nice views of the Great Salt Lake. A bit hazy. Bring some water!

Steep and good workout. Bring bug spray and money to get into the park. Good views at the top. Fun hike!
