This trail starts in East Fork of the Bear area just to the right of Sunrise camp and by Hinckley Scout Ranch. The trailhead is not marked as of this writing. Due to major fire damage in 2002, this trail requires good route-finding skills. There is a LOT of dead tree-fall due to the fire damage which hides a lot of the first 1.3 miles of trail. After that the trail goes through a meadow and further forest until you end up at some old cabins roughly 2.5 miles into the trail. Moving past the old cabins is where very good route-finding skills are required (it basically follows the edge of a marsh).
