Sand Island Petroglyphs is a 0.1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Mexican Hat, Utah that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This isn’t really a hike; the petroglyphs are right off the road. There were tons of them and it is a really neat sight! I’m not sure why there are negative reviews. This is worth your time if you are passing through or near Bluff, Utah, and our kids loved it as well.

I was very surprised at the number of Petroglyphs here. It was impressive.
