Start is pretty icy right now. Doable with out spikes but would be a good idea. Actual distance reads closer to 2.6 miles vs the 2.3 it says here. Moderate traffic, lots of dogs.

Really mellow and relaxing. Snow at the beginning but the loop part is dry right now. There's a parking lot, but seems to be a bit small so several cars were just parked on the side of the road (there's plenty of space).

Shady at first then full exposure while circling the park. Very nice along the stream section and nice views of Little Cottonwood Canyon from the park.

The first and last part of the trail are super pretty, lots of trees and shade. The middle is kinda boring, dead grass and sagebrush. That being said this would be a beautiful trail to do in the fall. Pretty easy as well.

Not a bad trail but nothing great about it. It’s also pretty narrow and overgrown in a few spots and more crowded than I like.

Saturday Summer morning hike with the family. A large part of the hike has very little shade, but the part with the shade is mountain like. The rest is more like a desert, lots of short sagebrush. Still, a fairly pleasant hike.

The trail feels like it’s belongs in a mountain home back yard! you can walk it very easily everyday if you lived near by plenty of different types of foliage and a small stream on the south, the larger river towards the north mountain bikes pass through as well and it’s narrow so you need to exchange passing with others using the trail! It’s easy to walk more of a walk than of a hike! Lots and lots of birds to see tons of different birds
