Great 5 mile hike from trail head parking lot to Puffer Lake, Utah. This is a section of the Skyline National Recreation Trail. There is running water in August to fill canteens (38.34990, -112.37372 and more water at 38.34646, -112.37192). This is an "up & back" trail, so going to Puffer Lake is mostly going down hill. Plenty of camping at lake. Very pretty. WARNINGS: Almost the entire trail is at 10,000 ft. so expect immediate fatigue. Also, DO NOT MISS FORK in the trail at (38.34186, -112.36347) or you will find yourself on top of Lake Peak at 11,300 ft. as we did.
