Easy little loop. Some nice views and a few flowers were just beginning to boom I went on a Tuesday afternoon at about 4 and did pass 3 separate groups of mountain bikers. Seems to be a very popular area for that. Though, I went a Saturday a couple weeks before to the adjacent trail to this one (Black Brush) and did not run into a single soul. Maybe I just got lucky.

It’s ok. I didn’t really enjoy this hike. There was broken glass all over. It’s like a big dumping ground. Not a good place to hike with pets because of the glass

Great short hike! My GPS had it at 1.7 miles. Only passed one other person on the trail, although there were several cars in the lot and mountain bikers in the area. My dog loved it and it was great rocky terrain to try out his new hiking boots. We ran some of it, and he found some animal burrows. Would love to do a longer hike out there next time. It was a bit hard to find my first time, because the signs are down and the map here is incorrect. From St George, take Sunset Blvd to Santa Clara. Turn left on Gates Rd and continue onto the dirt road. It curves left and then there is a sharp right turn option. Take that fork and you'll end up at the Cove Wash Trailhead, which is correct.
