To do this route: book the shuttle via a shop in Moab where you can also rent bikes. They will bring you up in the mountains (take gloves for the first part of your ride, it's cold!) and you will ride down back to the desert.

Awesome views, great ride. Some parts I had to walk down but the rest was a nice challenge. I would definitely recommend this trail. This is the first start point if you don't want to do the 700' incline over the burro pass at the start of the Whole Enchilada trail. You can also drop in off of the La Sal loop road which is where I started this trail. From La Sal loop road it was 18 miles and a 4300 foot drop to get to grandstaff campground on the Colorado river. With multiple stops and many picture taking moments it took me 5 hours. Someone that is actually in shape and a good rider could cut this time in half.
