The trail was nice as far as we were able to go. Memorial Day was an off leash dog day. Seems like even days are on leash and odd are off leash. Half way up the trail 2 younger inconsiderate reckless guys come bounding up the trail with German Shepherd off leash. The Shepherd is out of control running up and smelling everyone’s dog. Not 200 yards in front of us the Shepherd attacks a young couples dog that the wife had on leash. The husband had a small baby and was unable to intervene. Couple and their dog were able to walk out with a laceration on the dogs chest. Lady at the park entrance said she would “let the police know if she saw them”. Who knows how many other people ran into the the Shepherd along the trail.
