We started the trail from a pullout just off the the road (Red hills parkway). We parked in a dirt lot and started the trail. This was an easy beginner trail for my husband and I, but a challenging and fun trail for our kids (4,6,9). Our 4 year old got a bit nervous about the ups and downs and rocky terrain. Our other kids loved it! There was a fun section of Cairns along to path to stop and admire and add to. We didn’t finish the loop, but finished at Dixie rock.
Good trail that has heavy traffic
We started on the east end by parking by the Gustave A Larson Company. No trailhead marker so you just have to piece your way up the hill. After crossing over a wire fence there will be trail markers. Very easy/flat trail. Full sun.
