This crescent-shaped trail passes pioneer names, written in axle grease, dating back to 1881. One-half mile. Easy. Fairly level with some steps and slopes. This crescent-shaped trail passes pioneer names, written in axle grease, dating back to 1881.

Short easy trail. Scrambling up the steep rock to the pioneer names is a blast! There are two points of entry onto the trail. The one where you can see the names from the road is shorter.

Easy. Cool respite in the late morning shade, with sun not quite overhead.

Quick hike to see the names after some longer hiking in the park. As someone else said, a bit steep in the area of the names. Quick, easy hike.

This trail was mildly interesting, more for some of the rock formations than the pioneer graffiti. The kids enjoyed the trail, especially some of the photo ops where you could put your head in front of a hole in the rock to get a nice circular frame.
