Pinto Arch is located off of the Corona Arch trail west of Moab, Utah. The trail to the arch begins near the half mile point of the very popular Corona Arch trail. From there it travels across slick rock to a secluded area that is the only place from which the arch is visible.

Completed this hike after reaching Bowtie & Corona Arches. Trail wasn’t the most clear but easy to navigate after looking at the map. My boyfriend and I were the only ones on this trail! Loved the views

There is no clear trail and the few cairns that are there are not visible because they are so small and not in obvious spots. This is a great hike to go on to avoid the swarms of people that go to Corona. I was the only one on it and it was wonderful! The only negative is no clear cairns so I had to use the map from Alltrails.

If you're going up to Corona Arch this is a great detour or side route if Corona trail is overcrowded. The turn-off from the Corona Arch trail is not marked, but AllTrails route took us there just fine and there's a few cairns to help guide you. Loved exploring the upper bluff which has amazing views of river valley below. The arch is cool - more of a cave with hole in the roof. Moderate level hike over rock.

Jan 30, 2020 Chains and ladder make it fun, and it never felt dangerous. Side trip to Pinto Arch is worth it - trail is more primitive, but AllTrails kept me on track.

Secluded trail and we encountered no one! Mostly slick rock, no ice, and a little easy scrambling. Use the AllTrails map...there are no signs for the trail head and rock cairns are spread out, so the map helps to keep you on track. Watch for the icicles at the top of the arch as they were breaking off and falling. Great view of the Colorado River and area.

This is a great option to branch off the Carona Arch trail with significantly less traffic. Definitely would have missed the trail head if we hadn’t been using the All Trails map so I would recommend that. The trail is well marked with cairns along the way

Started going to Pinto Arch and ended up at Corona Arch trail. I missed the turn, but the Corona Arch trail was very nice. My dog did very good climbing like a goat.

It wasn’t nearly as populated as corona arch. The trail starts out as the same trail as corona, then branches off. It was a nice little hike, especially if you’re looking for something close to Moab, dog friendly, relatively short, and without a lot of people.

Great alternative to the busy trail to Corona Arch. The trail involves a short section of class 3 climbing.

Great hike, lots people had their dogs

The trail is no longer marked and is not delineated on the map in the parking lot. I think travel to the arch is being discouraged.
